Don’t be alarmed

By Staff | Apr 28, 2011

Beginning at 10 a.m., Friday April 29 and the continuing on the last Friday of every month, there will be a test of Estherville’s Outdoor Warning Sirens. In years past this test was performed and over time the practice was stopped. In cooperation with the Emmet County Sheriff, Estherville Police Department and Estherville Electrical Distribution Department, the siren test will begin again this Friday. In the event of potentially severe weather there will be no test on that particular Friday. Residents who live near the outdoor warning sirens and notice that it fails on the day of the test, please call Estherville City Hall at 712-362-7771 or Emmet County Emergency Management 712-362-5702.
