ELC flagpole donated in memory of Fuss

By Staff | May 7, 2011

The Estherville Lincoln Central School Foundation has erected a flagpole and plaque in the memory or Frank Fuss. Fuss was a long time supporter of the school district. He was born in Estherville, but moved away when he was 4-years-old after his mother died. He returned to Estherville when he was 11-years-old and lived the rest of his life here. He often worked with George Hess and helped run the scoreboard at games. The flagpole was made possible as a result of memorial money contributed by family and friends. Pictured next to the memorial are Frank's wife Lois Fuss, his daughter, Becky Peterson, and ELC School Foundation Board Member Theresa VerSteeg. The memorial is located in front of the new middle school." Photo submitted
