Estherville man charged after domestic dispute

On Saturday, Feb. 1, at 4:30 a.m., Estherville Police were dispatched to 421 W. Fifth Ave. N. for a domestic disturbance. As officers were responding, officers located the male involved in the dispute walking on West Fifth Avenue North.

As officers were conducting the investigation, it was determined that the male, identified as 47 year old Matthew Shryock of Estherville, was in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Emmet County Jail.

Estherville Police then were issued a search warrant for the residence and executed a search warrant at 421 W. Fifth Ave. N. During the search officers located marijuana and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

As a result of the investigation, Shryock was charged with second offense possession of a controlled substance ( methamphetamine) with the intent to deliver; possession of a controlled Substance (marijuana) third offense; unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; domestic abuse assault; and child endangerment. Shryock is being held in the Emmet County Jail on a $100,000 cash or surety bond.
