Shatto named new police chief
Long-time Estherville policeman Brent Shatto will become the new police chief following the retirement of Chief Eric Milburn in August.
Estherville Mayor Kenny Billings made the announcement at Monday’s city council meeting.
Shatto has worked for the Estherville police department for the past 26 years, most recently as captain.
“Brent is a proven leader who has been and will continue to be an asset to the Estherville Police Department,” said Billings in a statement.
Milburn retires on Aug. 22, 2014. Shatto will officially begin his new duties on Aug. 23.
