FAIRMONT, Minn. – Multiple injuries were reported Tuesday evening in a single vehicle crash on Highway 15 about a mile north of the Iowa-Minnesota border.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 32-year-old Erin Demoney of Estherville was driving a 2002 GMC Envoy southbound. Troopers say the vehicle left the road and went onto some rumble strips before it crossed the center line. Authorities say Demoney then over-corrected, causing the vehicle to roll.

Demoney and four passengers in the vehicle were all injured and transported to hospitals; Demoney and one of the passengers, an infant, Elise Demoney of Estherville, were both taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester; two other passengers, Cameron Dahl and Isabelle Demoney, both four-years-old and both from Estherville, were taken to the Fairmont hospital; another passenger, 11-year-old Nicholas Demoney of Estherville, was taken to Regions Metro Hospital in the Twin Cities.

The vehicle was totaled.

The crash took place shortly after 8 p.m.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Fairmont Police Department and the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
