On Nov. 5, four Estherville Lincoln Central dance team members went to Newton, Iowa, to compete at the 2016-2017 ISDTA State Solo Dance Competition. There, they competed against 72 other dancers in their class.

Emma Stevens, daughter of Doug and Renea Stevens, performed to “Lips Are Moving.”

Domanique Richardson, daughter of Kevin and Shannon Richardson, performed to “Just Like Fire.”

Elizabeth Reardon, daughter of Pat and Barb Reardon performed to “Fire and Gold.”

Riley Shryock, daughter of Jason Shryock and Teresa Dalen, performed to “Popular.” Emma, Elizabeth, and Riley all received a Division I rating and Domanique received a Division II rating.

“This was Emma’s third year performing at the competition and Domanique, Elizabeth, and Riley’s first year,” said ELC dance coach Kayla McKinney. “It’s an accomplishment just to be able to go out onto the floor and perform a routine all by yourself. I’m very proud of all four of the girls’ performances”

The full ELC Dance Team will be heading to Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines on Dec. 1-2 to compete at the ISDTA State Dance Competition in the hip hop and jazz categories.
