Reward raised in burglary case
The Estherville Police Department would like the assistance of the public. Information is requested in regards to a burglary that occurred in Estherville on Nov. 16, 2016, between the hours of 8 a.m. and noon.
Officers responded to the burglary in the 300 Block of North Ninth Street. The victim residence is on the east side of North Ninth Street. The suspects entered the front porch of the residence and forcibly entered the house through the front door. The suspects entered the residence and caused considerable amount of extremely violent damage to the inside of the house and left with some of the victim’s personal property.
The police department has received assistance from other agencies in offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the crime. At this time, the reward has increased to more than $1,000. A larger reward may be available. The increase in reward has been made available by a local generous donor to assist our agency with this investigation.
