Wednesday afternoon, Estherville city administrator Penny Clayton said the snow removal was “going really well.”?

By early afternoon the plows were finished, and city vehicles were sanding the streets.

“They will be out at midnight to clear the downtown area, so when people open for business tomorrow, the streets should be clear,”?Clayton said.

The Estherville Police Department canvassed the city, knocking on doors where they found cars parked on the streets.

“I?want to thank the Estherville Police Department. We’d much rather have voluntary cooperation than have to ticket and tow. It’s so much easier for everyone,”?Clayton said.

According to the National Weather Service, flurries and blowing snow will continue into the next several days.
