Fire destroys Armstrong business

An Armstrong business was completely destroyed by fire early Thursday morning

Armstrong Fire Chief Rob Nutt says at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Armstrong Fire Department received a report of a downtown business that was on fire. Upon arrival, the Paul Chiropractic building was engulfed in flames. Assistance was called from the Ringsted Fire Department as firefighters tried to save what remained of the building and surrounding structures.

The fire was extinguished around 8 a.m. No one was injured during the blaze. Nutt says the building was considered a total loss. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined and is under investigation.

Also assisting at the scene was the Armstrong Police Department, Emmet County Sheriff’s Department, Emmet County Emergency Management, and Armstrong Ambulance.
