No virtual days at ELC

By Staff | Mar 16, 2020

The Estherville Lincoln Central School District announced Monday evening that the state has waived four weeks worth of instructional days while ELC joins districts across Iowa in suspending classes to help lower the incidents of COVID-19, the Coronavirus.

ELC said the district would start serving breakfasts and lunches as soon as they receive their waiver from the Dept. of Education.

There is to be no in-person contact between coaches/sponsors of any athletic activity and any athlete during this time.

Classes are suspended at ELC indefinitely, but likely for at least four weeks.

The Estherville News will have continuing coverage of COVID-19 and its effects on Emmet County residents. If you have information or a story of how you’re coping, contact the Estherville News at apeterson@esthervillenews.net.
