ELC board to receive COVID update today
The Estherville Lincoln Central School Board will receive COVID updates at its regular meeting today. The board meets at 5:15 p.m. In the high school library
Among the COVID items, the board will learn about winter activity reqruirements.
Face masks will be required for all school events.
For basketball and wrestling, attendance is limited to two tickets per athlete, regardless of level.
ELC is exploring live streaming options for junior varsity and varsity events.
There will also be two tickets per cheerleader. It is the responsibility of the traveling team’s activities director to notify the home team if cheerleaders will be attening. Cheerleaders on the sidelines must be masked. Cheering during timeouts or halftime on the court, masks may be removed.
The board will also be updated on its Covid Dashboard Data on the website, as well as new proclamation mandates.
In other business, board treasurer Kate Woods will present the financial accounting of the books for FY20. The board will also approve personnel items, which include the hiring of Demoney teacher associates Janette Lundquist, Katie Rezac, Claire Knutson and Briana Dale, and resignations of middle school volleyball coaches Nicole Craig and Amanda Zylstra and custodian Joe Smith.
The board will then hold its annual organization meeting, which includes the election of the board president and vice president. Board members approve assignements to various committees.
The board will receive reports from school administration.
Under new business, the board will consider the School Board Review Commiee Application for modified supplemental amount on-time funding for the areas of increasing enrollment.
