Wallingford Fire & Ambulance hopes for solid return on 2021 fundraiser after pandemic shut down 2020 event
Jarrod Fischer said fundraising this year is crucial to Wallingford Fire & Ambulance. The June 26 fundraiser, held at both fire stations in Wallingford, will make it possible to purchase equipment for the firefighter and ambulance members and provide field trainings.
Having to cancel the 2020 event due to COVID-19 did have an impact.
“It did set us back,” Fischer said.
The fundraiser includes a ribeye sandwich or hot dog or hamburger with sides, with to-go orders served out of the old fire station and dine-in available in the new fire station.
