ESTHERVILLE–Funeral services for Robert Weber, 83, of Estherville, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at United Methodist Church in Estherville, with Pastor Lynn Potter officiating. Interment will be held at East Side Cemetery in Estherville with Military Graveside Rites by VFW Post 3388 and American Legion Post 91 of Estherville.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville.
He died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at Avera Holy Family Health in Estherville.
Robert Weber, the son of Edward and Pauline (Lutz) Weber, was born Sept. 15, 1924, in Cleveland, N.D.
He received his education in the Cleveland school and graduated from Cleveland High School. After completing his education Robert served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. After his honorable discharge from military service he attended school in Minneapolis for radio telegraphy until 1952.
On June 2, 1951, Robert was united in marriage to Kathryn Rienhardt at the United Methodist Church in Dolliver. In 1952, he went to work for Coca Cola in Jamestown, N.D. In 1960, they moved to a farm near Starbuck, Minn. On April 1, 1966, the couple adopted three children. In 1982, they moved to Estherville and Robert was employed by North Central Crop Insurance until 2005. Kathryn died May 29, 1994.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Estherville.
Robert is survived by two sons, Phillip Weber and his wife, Janet of Tyler, Texas; Jeffrey Weber and his wife, Tammy of Watertown, S.D.; one daughter, Marie Weber of Alexandria, Minn., formerly of Morris, Minn.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, David Weber of Jamestown.
