ESTHERVILLE — Graveside services for Catherine Nadine Stillman, 95, of Estherville will be held for a later date.

She died Jan. 11, 2008, at Good Samaritan Center in Estherville.

Catherine Nadine Stillman, the daughter of L.P. and Nina F. Wells Stillman, was born Sept. 24, 1912, in Dolliver.

She graduated from Dolliver High School then enrolled in Iowa State University where she received a degree in Home Economics. She worked for her brother, Linus, in Burlington and then was an Extension agent in Duluth, Minn., and Pipestone, Minn. She returned to Dolliver and took care of her parents until their deaths. She served in the United States Navy and received an Honorable Discharge on Jan. 23, 1946. For several years she lived in Nova Scotia, Canada with her sister. She moved back to the family home in Dolliver in the 1970s. During the latter part of her life, she lived with Lloyd and Wilma Weber until their deaths when she entered the Good Samaritan Center.

Nadine was a very kind and generous woman. She loved birds and animals and had several pets over the years. Nadine donated her body to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester for anatomical purposes.

Nadine is survived by three nieces, Dorothy Bee Pecora, Studio City, Calif; Elizabeth Ann Stillman, Algona; and Marcia Wells Jones, Green Valley, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.

Memorials may be given to the Estherville Good Samaritan Center, ECHO, Inc., or the Dolliver Methodist Church.
