Pamela M. Johnson
JANESVILLE, Minn. — Funeral services for Pamela M. Johnson, 57, of Janesville, Minn., and formerly Estherville will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville with Vicar LeRoy LaPlant officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral services at the church. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Estherville Lutheran Cemetery.
She died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at her home in Janesville.
Pamela May was born on July 8, 1950, in Estherville to Eugene and Maxine (Trumble) Helle. Pamela graduated from Estherville High School. On April 21, 1967, she was united in marriage to Francis L. Johnson in Lawton, Okla. Pamela and Francis lived in the Lawton area until January 1968, when they moved to Spirit Lake. While in Spirit Lake she worked for Berkley Fishing part-time for three winter seasons. Pamela was blessed with the birth of her son, Christopher, in 1975. In 1985, Pamela and Francis and their family moved to Janesville, Minn. She worked for Josten’s in Owatonna, Minn., from October 1996 until November 2006. Pamela enjoyed various outdoor activities including flower gardening, watching birds, and she had a great passion for hunting Indian artifacts and arrowheads. Pamela had a special place in her heart to help and be kind to the elderly.
She is survived by her husband, Francis, and son, Christopher, of Janesville; brother, Greg Helle, of Milford; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Francis and Elinor Johnson, of Estherville; brother-in-law, Bruce (Ellen) Johnson, of Clear Lake; and her sister-in-law, Elinor (Johnson) Lyster, of Estherville; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Maxine Helle; and her brother, Harold Helle.
