Patsy Jo Juhl
ESTHERVILLE — Funeral services for Patsy Jo Juhl, 69, of Harrison, Ark., formerly of Estherville, will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, April 5, 2008, at First Christian Church with Pastor Doug Burton officiating. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery, Estherville. She died on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the Hospice of the Hills, in Harrison, Ark., after a long battle with cancer.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until noon, today at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville.
Patsy Jo (Reed) Juhl was born on Oct. 18, 1938, in Pontiac, Ill., to Howard E. and Mary E. (Turner) Reed.
Patsy (Patricia) graduated from Estherville High School in 1956 and went on to Methodist Kahler Nursing School in Rochester, Minn., and graduated with her RN degree in 1959. She worked as a registered nurse for many years until she was no longer able. She married Dale G. Juhl in Estherville on Oct. 25, 1960.
In her free time, she liked to draw and swim, and enjoyed her family, as well as her church family in Harrison. They were a blessing to her. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Harrison.
Patsy Jo is survived by her three children, Mary (Rick) Welch of Fayetteville, Ark.; Phyllis (Mike) Martens of Estherville; and Steve (Lora) Juhl of Storm Lake; eight grandchildren, Leah and Molly Martens, Morgan and Gordon Welch, and Emma, Madalyn, Grace and Lauren Juhl.
She has been preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Mary Reed, Aunt Josephine and Uncle Otto Pfieffer and Uncle Robert Turner.
