ARMSTRONG — Funeral services for Ruby Krumm, 92, of Armstrong, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2008 with Pastor Peter Soli officiating. Interment will be at Armstrong Grove Cemetery, Armstrong. She died Thursday, April 3 at Valley Vue Care Center, Armstrong.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Henry-Olson Chapel in Armstrong.
Ruby Ida Opsal Krumm the daughter of Ole and Mary (Johnson) Opsal was born Aug. 22, 1915, in Armstrong.
She graduated from Armstrong High School in 1933.
On Oct. 15, 1936, she was united in marriage to Richard Krumm. The couple lived in Swea City until 1942 when they moved to Armstrong. Ruby was a cook at Armstrong School for several years, played the organ for Nazareth Lutheran Church, sang in the choir and was soloist for many occasions.
She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church her entire life.
Survivors are her son, William Krumm and his wife, Joann of Norfolk, VA; daughter, Mary Kay Picht and her husband, Elward of Armstrong; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard in 2001, son David in 1992, 10 brothers and sisters, Sadie, Jenny, Mabel, Junis, Jerry, Mavis, Ted, Orville, Bud and Otie.
In lieu of flowers the family requests any memorial donations be directed to the Armstrong Pool Fund.
