Dolly Schubert

WALLINGFORD — Funeral services for Dolly Schubert, 79, of Wallingford will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, at Grandview Baptist Church in Estherville with Pastor Joel Jorgenson officiating. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery, Estherville. She died Wednesday, May 21, at her home in Wallingford.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville.

Dolly May (Fowler) Schubert, the daughter of John and Martha (Dorrfel) Fowler, was born May 9, 1929, in Estherville.

She received her education in Estherville and graduated from Estherville High School.

On Jan. 27, 1952, Dolly was united in marriage to Donald Schubert in Jackson, Minn. The couple made their home in Estherville where they raised their family and Dolly was a homemaker. In 1967, the family moved to Wallingford. In her leisure time Dolly enjoyed garage sales, gardening and crafts. Most important to Dolly was spending time with her family.

She was a member of RSVP.

Left to cherish Dolly’s memory are her husband, Donald Sr. of Wallingford; her children, Christine Hall and her husband, Alan of Estherville; Don Schubert Jr. of Estherville; Linda Mein and her husband, Lyle of Frederick, Colo.; Michael Schubert of Estherville; Roxanne Kittelson of Frederick, Colo.; Randy Schubert and his wife, Kelly of Estherville; Julie Crees and her husband, Mark of Avondale, Ariz.; Robert Schubert and his wife, Dawn of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; Sondra Schubert-Mellor and her husband, Ron of Denver, Colo.; Daryl Schubert and Deb of Estherville; James Schubert and Laurie of Estherville; 32 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Nellie Phillips and her husband, Merle of Fergus Falls, Minn.; Minna Mix of Estherville; Pearl Mortimore of Spencer; Hans Fowler and his wife, Joyce of Adel; Max Fowler of Palacios, Texas; and Evelyn Zhorne of Waterloo.

She has been preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers and four sisters.
