John R. Klingbeil

ESTHERVILLE – Funeral services for John R. Klingbeil, 34, of Estherville will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Estherville with Pastor Paul Wiegman officiating. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville. Interment will be at East Side Memorial Cemetery in Estherville.

He died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, after a five-year, courageous battle with brain cancer.

John Ross Klingbeil, the son of John E. and Cheryl (Ross) Klingbeil, was born Dec. 12, 1973, in Estherville.

He grew up on a farm North of Gruver. John attended Lincoln Central High School and graduated in 1992. After graduation he farmed full-time with his parents.

On June 15, 1996, he was united in marriage to Jennifer Trebesch. On July 1, 1997, they celebrated the birth of their first son, John Marcus. On Dec. 18, 2000, they celebrated the birth of their son, Devin Ronald.

John was a beloved husband and father. He cherished his family and devoted his time to his boys. John enjoyed farming, collecting toy tractors, watching racing, playing sports with his boys, and also spending time with his friends. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Left to cherish John’s memory is his wife, Jen; sons, John Marcus and Devin Ronald; his parents, John E. and Cheryl Klingbeil; sister, Brenda Clymer and her husband, Dave, all of Estherville; mother-in-law, Beverly Trebesch of Welcome, Minn.; two grandmas, Jean Klingbeil and Darlene Ross of Estherville; two sisters-in-law, Elisa Kotewa and her husband, Darold of Fairmont, Minn., and Brenda Becker and her husband, Troy, of Savage, Minn.; five nephews, Colton Clymer and Carter Clymer, Dean Kotewa, and Michael Becker and Mathew Becker; one niece, Chesley Haase and her husband, Brent; one great nephew, Dawson Kotewa; and also many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his friends.

He was preceded in death by his two unborn children; grandfathers John Klingbeil and Ralph Ross; and father-in-law, Ronald Trebesch.
