Virginia M. Clark

ESTHERVILLE – Funeral services for Virginia M. Clark, 83, of Estherville will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, at First Christian Church in Estherville with Pastor Doug Burton officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery in Estherville.

She died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at Avera Holy Family Health in Estherville.

Virginia Marie (Campbell) Clark, the daughter of John and Anna (Blossey) Campbell, was born April 18, 1925, in Emmet County.

She attended grade school at Ryan Lake Country School and high school at Gruver. Virginia moved with her father to Estherville in 1946.

On Aug. 23, 1947, Virginia was united in marriage to Dean Clark of Miami, Fla., in Estherville. She worked at Soo Valley Fishline and several other places after moving to Estherville. Dean died May 22, 1997.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Estherville. Virginia enjoyed playing cards, gardening, needlework, and spending time with family and friends.

Left to cherish Virginia’s memory are her children, Larry Clark and his wife, Julie, of Estherville, Marvis Smith and her husband, Allen, of Milford, and Dee Turner and her husband, Ron, of Dubuque; step-daughter, Rose Gess, and her husband, Dave, of Greenville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Tammy Turner, Tom Turner, Wayne Pendlebury, Amelia Smith, and Alynn Smith; three great-grandchildren, Abagail and Molly Turner and Aiden Eaton; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Virginia in death were her husband; parents; brother, Robert Campbell; two sisters, Minnie Harvey and Alvina Grems; and step-daughter, Nancy Fee.
