Donald L. Jacobson
WALLINGFORD – Funeral services for Donald L. Jacobson, 71, of Maple Grove, Minn., were held Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, in Minneapolis. A committal service was held Friday at High Lake Cemetery in Wallingford.
He died Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Minneapolis.
Don was born in Estherville Sept. 12, 1938. He grew up in rural Graettinger where he attended eight years of country school. He attended Graettinger High School where he graduated in 1956. He served in the Coast Guard reserve for two years. Don attended business school in Minneapolis before going to work for the Soo Line Railroad where he was employed for 40 years. Don is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Patrick (Rebecca); daughters, Carrie Jacobson and Christine Wilson (Pat); stepdaughter Sheila Foslien Franks (Gordon); stepsons, Gregory Foslien (Hai) and Paul Foslien (Maria); nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and brother, David (Delaine).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Blanchard and Lily; a brother, Richard and sister, Rosemary.
