She died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at her home in Estherville.
Amy Elaine Jensen, the daughter of James Jensen and Terri (Irwin) Hanson, was born Aug. 15, 1990, in Estherville.
She received her education in the Estherville schools, graduating from Estherville Lincoln Central High School in 2009.
In Amy’s leisure time she enjoyed cooking and outdoor activities including camping, bonfires and fishing. Amy was known for her love for life and for God. Inspirational speaking and telling people about God’s love was her life’s passion. With the time that was given to her, she was able to speak to several schools, youth groups, and radio and T.V. stations. Wherever Amy went the light of God went also. Most important to Amy was spending time with family, friends and her dog Snipper.
She was a member of Crossroads Community Church in Estherville. Amy had a desire to reach out to youth, with hopes of a future church youth center here in Estherville.
Left to cherish Amy’s memory are her mom, Terri Hanson, and her husband, Jeff, of Estherville; her dad, James Jensen of Estherville; siblings, Adam Erickson and his wife, Linette, and their children, Andrew and Brooklyn, Crystal Clabaugh and her husband, Jerad, Jill Gifford and her husband Tyler and Nathan Jensen; special friend, Kyle Solberg; many aunts, uncles and cousins and her grandparents.
Preceding Amy in death were her grandparents, Lydia and John Jensen. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials. On-line condolences may be sent to www.henryolsonfuneral.com
