Lenora Fisher

ESTHERVILLE – Funeral services for Lenora Fisher, 84, of Estherville will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Estherville with Pastor Glenn Bohmer officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville Interment will be at East Side Cemetery in Estherville.

She died Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Society in Estherville.

Lenora Louise (Steiner) Fisher, the daughter of John and Martha (Zieman) Steiner, was born Aug. 21, 1925, in Canistota, S.D. She received her education and graduated from Lake Park High School.

On April 4, 1947, she was united in marriage to Harold Fisher in Jackson, Minn. Following their marriage the couple made there home in Estherville. Lenora cleaned houses for over 25 years. She also worked at Morrell’s in Sioux Falls, PG Grey and Emmet County State Bank for a short time. Harold died in 1984.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxiliary in Estherville. She enjoyed crocheting and fishing.

Left to cherish Lenora’s memory are her sons, John Fisher and his wife, Mary, and Charles Fisher and his wife, Zenaida, of Estherville; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and brother, Darrell Steiner, in Palisades, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Kathy Bryant; sister, Marge and brother, Alfred.
