Alice Lorraine Fay
ESTHERVILLE – Mass of Christian Burial for Alice Lorraine Fay, 91, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville with Monsignor Michael Sernett as Celebrant. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Henry-Olson
Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Estherville.
She died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.
Alice Lorraine (Kunert) Fay, the daughter of Edward and Marie (McNally) Kunert, was born April 5, 1922, in Emmetsburg.
She graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in 1942.
On Jan. 24, 1943, she was united in marriage to Robert E. Fay in Emmetsburg. After their marriage the couple farmed in the Emmetsburg, Estherville and Wallingford areas. In 1950, the couple moved to Estherville and then moved to Wallingford in 1961. Robert passed away on April 8, 2004.
Lorraine was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters of America.
Left to cherish Lorraine’s memory are her children, Judy Kramer and her husband, Larry, of Clear Lake; Ronald Fay and his wife, Mary, of Graettinger; Theresa Linn and her husband, Bob, of Sioux City; Sherry Salzman and her friend, Bob, of Fairmont, Minn.; Jerry Fay and his wife, Kris, of Wallingford; Denise Leal and her husband, Pablo, of Estherville; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Preceding Lorraine in death are her parents; husband; three sisters and three brothers.
