ESTHERVILLE – Funeral services for Ardelle Coleman, 94, of Estherville will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at United Methodist Church in Estherville with Pastor Lynn Elrod officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery in Estherville.
She died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Society in Estherville.
Ardelle Mildred Hill Coleman, the daughter of Harry and Amelia (Hanke) Lenox, was born June 27, 1919 in Terril.
She received her education in Estherville schools.
In 1941, she was united in marriage to Maurice “Curly” Hill. The couple made their home in Estherville. Curly died in 1965. She was married to Clifford Coleman in 1970. Clifford died in 1974. Ardelle was employed with Sears for 15 years and also the Gift Garden and Dress Shop. For hobbies, she enjoyed playing cards, visiting and quilting.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the VFW Auxiliary.
Left to cherish Ardelle’s memory are her children, Barbara Donovan and her husband, Dan, of Milford; Allan Hill and his wife, Linda, of Kerens, Texas; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister-in-law, Lois Lenox of Estherville and many nieces and nephews.
