ESTHERVILLE – Mass of Christian Burial for Bernadette Neppl, 81, of Jacksonville, Ark. will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville with Monsignor Michael Sernett as Celebrant. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at Henry-Olson Funeral Home with Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Estherville.
She died Tuesday, July 1, 2014.
Bernadette Yvonne (Osher) Neppl was born June 17, 1933, in Estherville, the daughter of Gilford and Myrtle Osher.
She received her education in the Estherville schools.
Bernadette worked as a fingerprint analyst for the FBI in Washington D.C. from 1951 until 1953. She also worked as a secretary at Buckley AFB and was a proof reader for the newspaper. Bernadette was united in marriage to Gerald Eugene Neppl in Jacksonville on May 23, 1981, at Little Rock Air Force Base Chapel on Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville. Jerry died April 11, 2010.
Bernadette was a faithful member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville.
She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Canarina; Katherine Nadeau, husband, Chris; Diane Hammersly, husband Wayne; son, Anthony Neppl, wife Barbara; daughter, Roberta Hodge and son, Joseph Neppl. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Marilee Wee, and her husband, Gerald; Lu Ann Ostheimer and her husband, Gary; and brother, Terry Osher.
