Dolores G. Lemke Nov. 17, 1933 – April 27, 2017
ARMSTRONG – Funeral services for Dolores G. Lemke, 83, of Armstrong, will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 1, 2017, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong with Pastor Lauri Boysen officiating. Interment will be at Armstrong Grove Cemetery. Dolores passed away on April 27, 2017 at Valley Vue Care in Armstrong.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m., at the church on Sunday and one hour prior to the services on Monday.
Dolores G (Lubenow) Lemke was born on Nov. 17, 1933, on the farm in rural Ceylon, Minn., to Charles and Gladys (Striemer) Lubenow. She grew up around Ceylon and graduated from Ceylon High School in 1951. On Nov. 10, 1951, she was united marriage to Sylvan Lemke at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in rural Ceylon. After their marriage the couple made their home in Fairmont and she was employed at Railway Motors. They later moved to Ceylon and in 1961 they moved to Armstrong. Dolores worked at TG Industries and many years in the banking industry. She was employed as a Pharmacy Technician for Kasson Drug in Armstrong in her later years.
Dolores was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong. She was a Den mother for Cub Scouts, a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed baking cookies and bars, especially molasses cookies for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed taking walks.
Dolores is survived by her husband Sylvan, her children Craig Lemke of Armstrong, Vicki (Galen) Peta of Gruver, Mark (Betty) Lemke of Spirit Lake, Lee Lemke of Swea City and Scott (Jody) Lemke of Spirit Lake; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Wayne (Shirley) Lubenow of Armstrong, her sister Marilyn (Don) Stelter of Ceylon, her brothers-in-law John Robichaud of White River Junction, Vt., and Reinhold (Lorraine) Lemke of Northfield, Minn.; her sisters-in-law Maryl Lemke and Betty Lemke of Fairmont, Minn.
Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, her infant sister Charlene Lubenow and Lemke Family brothers and sisters in law: Alfred (Margaret), Victor, Emil, Irene, Marcella (Hugh), Hubert (Shirley), and Esther (Bill).
