Daily News Editorial – 100 things to do

By Staff | Jan 22, 2008

Over the last several days the Daily News has brought you the newsroom’s list of the 100 things to do before you die. Each of the 100 were chosen by newsroom staff and no one else.

The point of the list was not to be crass. The idea actually came from another newspaper that did something similar. The reason we chose now to bring you our list is because it proves a good point-to live life to the fullest and, simply put, just live.

Life is a funny thing. It takes us all in different directions. Sometimes those directions cross paths with other people headed the same way and, for the most part, we’re all going our own way. But all of us have our bucket lists, the things that we want to accomplish before we depart this earth.

For some, that bucket list could include the vast majority of the items in our 100 things to do. For others, none of them are included. Really, it’s up to each and every one of us to decide where our lives will go and which direction to take but don’t forget to live once in a while.

We all can get so caught up with work, school, family or friends that sometimes we forget to take a moment for ourselves.

That’s truly the point of our list and that’s why we chose to bring it to all of you.

Just make time for yourselves every so often to truly live life to the fullest and remember that there’s always time to accomplish whatever you want.
