There’s plenty of other activities to support.
The area prep volleyball teams are beginning to get into the season. ELC is at the Spirit Lake Tournament on Saturday. The Indians, A-R, and G/T teams all play multiple matches next week.
Those who want to watch volleyball at the next level can always check out the Iowa Lakes Community College team. The Lakes have home matches on Monday, Sept. 15 and Wednesday, Sept. 24.
If you’ve never been to a cross country meet, it’s a different type of experience. It one of the few sports where the spectators can be nearly as active as the runners who usually traverse up and down and around a golf course. Fans can usually find shortcuts to cheer the runners a couple times and still have time to watch the finish.
Keep an eye on the Daily News to find out when your team is in action and get out there and support the athletes.
