It’s great to see the Midget school spirit in full gear again.
All over Estherville, homecoming spirit slogans are painted on businesses. If you weren’t a Midget backer before, you sure will be now.
Friday night the Midgets face No. 1-rated Bishop Heelan, so let’s all turn out and give the home town the support they need.
We’ll see you at the game!
Think of those in need
In a month or so, temperatures will drop and the heat bills will rise. With petroleum and fuel prices what they are, you can be assured that needy Emmet County families will be stretched to pay not only their fuel bills, but their gasoline and grocery bills as well.
The Upper Des Moines Opportunity Inc. county food pantry of course accepts food donations throughout the year. Now is a particularly good time to donate, with winter coming on.
The food pantry accepts canned and other nonperishable foods. Donations are always welcome.
To donate, just drop off items at Upper Des Moines Opportunity at 508 S. First St. in the Emmet County Annex. Items may be left from 8 a.m. to noon or 12:30-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
