It’s that time of year again.
Kids are asking their parents, “What’s there to do?”
Well, treat them to Family Fun Day at the Emmet County Nature Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday.
The Emmet County Nature Center Foundation Board is putting on the event to help celebrate summer and to let folks appreciate the Emmet County Nature Center which opened just a little over a year ago.
Free hot dogs and the trimmings will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. while they last. There will also be a raffle of a Terry Redlin print, Best Friends. Tickets, which will be sold during the day, are $5 each or three for $10. Funds raised go toward paying the debt on the Emmet County Nature Center.
Games will include a cake walk and bean bag toss for the kids.
Family Fun Day is a great way to spend time with your family without it costing you an arm and a leg. It’s also a great was to spend time in the outdoors – so bring your fishing rod or swim trunks along.
