Most everyone enjoys traveling on a three-day weekend. Of course the increase in traffic should give drivers even more reason to remain cautious this Labor Day holiday.

Adding alcohol and/or drugs to the mix does not help.

Law enforcement agencies around the nation have been participating in a heightened enforcement period focusing on drunk/drugged drivers that began Aug. 21 and continues through Labor Day.

Vote in the Tuesday’s school board election

With the school board election held a day after Labor Day this year, voters may forget all about the Sept. 8 election.

Well, it’s here and it’s our duty to vote. Estherville Lincoln Central School District residents vote at the Emmet County Courthouse.

Armstrong-Ringsted patrons have polling places in Armstrong and Ringsted.
