The rain is supposed to stay away this weekend which adds to the number of activities to attend.

The Iowa High School Rodeo returns to town at the Emmet County Fairgrounds with events scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. Brent Shatto of the Estherville Saddle Club, is expecting more than 150 youth from around the state to compete in traditional rodeo events.

Of course if you’re looking for that one great bargain, check out the listings for the citywide garage sales. (Find a map of locatons on Page 13 of today’s Daily News).

If entertainment is what you seek, the Estherville Lincoln Central High School Music Department hosts a concert at Roosevelt Auditorium at 2 p.m. Sunday. If that’s not enough, a Relay for Life fundraiser featuring more musical acts can be found at the United Methodist Church.

These events are just the tip of the iceberg.

But maybe you’ll just use this weekend to complete your spring yard work or start those home repairs.
