While detouring around the Central Avenue railroad crossing wasn’t fun this week, it’s amazing how quickly it becomes a distant memory.
There were a few tales of visitors to town getting ‘lost’ trying to find alternate routes around the detour.
Otherwise, area residents had a chance to see parts of town they wouldn’t normally-whichever detour they took
The railroad workers did a speedy job, making the inconvenience brief.
We only wish the upcoming Highway 9 repaving between Estherville and Armstrong could be as quick.
