ELC Boys Basketball holds year-end banquet
The 2010-11 Estherville Lincoln Central Boys Basketball Team held its postseason banquet Tuesday evening at the high school.
Head coach York Plagge said although the team didn’t see much success in the win column, the season was still fun.
“I loved walking into practice every day,” Plagge said. “The guys always came in ready to work hard.”
The players selected team awards at each level.
At the freshman level, David Hughes received the “Mr. Defense ” award. Alec Wycoff was voted Most Improved Player and Joe Heinrichs was voted Most Valuable Player.
At the junior varsity level, Bryce Hansen was named Most Improved Player. Brad Olsen received the Mr. Defense Award and Evan Hansen was named MVP.
At the varsity level, senior Aaron Lindell was voted Most Improved Player. Marcus Christensen was voted Mr. Defense and Tyler Lutz received the MVP award.
Plagge and the coaching staff also selected Lutz to receive the Coaches’ Award.
