Woodys Charities says thanks

By Staff | Apr 13, 2011

To the EDN:

We all talk about how fortunate we are to live in a community that cares.

I want to point out today how fortunate we are to become ill in a community that cares.

No one wants to be affected with a degenerative disease of any kind, but when it happens the residents of Emmet and Dickinson Counties are truly blessed. The businesses and individuals in the area continue to donate to great causes and benefits.

Woody’s Charities Auction was held Saturday, April 2 and the outpouring of generosity was amazing. We were receiving items right up to the starting time. With the help of the following businesses and all the great people who came in to buy the donated items we were able to raise over $10,200.00. We are proud to say that all of that money is spent locally for people in our area that have unmet needs due to a degenerative illness.

We would like to thank the following donors that made the 2011 Auction a success: Betty’s Flower Box, Comfortec, Building Center, Estherville Daily News, Estherville Drug, Estherville Implement, Fifth Street Gifts, Firestone, Grand Theatre and Video Warehouse, Heartland Americana, Homespun Quilt Shop, Hy-Vee Food Store, Inman Electric and Radio Shack, Jensen Furniture, Jim and Kristy Konda, Lori Sherling, Linda Brown, M.E.’s Body Shop, Mae Condon, Northstar Bank and Agency, Kathy Pratt and Family, Randy’s Body and Wrecker, Riverside Sinclair, Ruthven Meat Processors, Rylin Office Technology, Shear Magic, Sleep Inn and Suites, Stall’s Farm and Home, Tantastic Tanning, ENVY Salon, Terry Feger, Carz Central, Treats to Treasures, Doll Dist., Dr. James Roberts, Trudy and Tim Ahrens, Black Knights Car Club, Brent and Cheryl Baddeley, Don Jose Mexican Restaurant, Don Seylar/MAC Tools, Employees Credit Union, Fick’s Ace Hardware, Godfather’s Pizza, Howell Real Estate and Auctioneering, KILR Radio, Lisa Renze-Rhodes, Newgard Cattle Co., Skateland, Tropical Valley Fish and Pets, Valley Contracting, Westwood Massage, T & B Graph-X, Chuck Gardner, Marian Gardner, John Wittneben, Bank Plus/Darryl Eickoff, Burrell Painting, Cecil Seeliger, Cool Beans Coffee House, Bob and Paulette Graff, Janet Burgeson, Brenda Burgeson, Quiltin B Studio, Tim Blaise, RWC, Marv and Audrey Gruhlke, American Muscle, Chris Cooklin, Dave and Laura DeVary/Photos by Susie, Joni Cheever, Colletta Jeager, Wild Rose Casino and Resort, Rose and Kathy Hunter, Radig Family, Wittmer Family, Ruth Tobin, Bill Jackson, CC Screenprinting/Cathy McCauley, Don’s Graphics, Julie Ebel, Jeanne Egeland.
