ELC Foundation says thank you

By Staff | Sep 20, 2013

To the EDN:

The Estherville Lincoln Central Community School Foundation would like to send a huge thank you to all the staff of the Estherville Lincoln-Central School District.

On August 13th, the Foundation unveiled our new logo, Emerging Learners in the Classroom, to the teachers and support staff of ELC at their in-take meetings. The Foundation Board asked for support for the Key Grant program via a one-time pledge or monthly payroll deductions. As in the past, the Foundation matches payroll deductions made by ELC employees to fund Key Grant requests from ELC staff. We are able to help our educators with a variety of projects, field trips, and programs.

We were so pleased by the positive response from our ELC community to our request. We doubled our payroll deductions! In recent years, we’ve floated around Key Grant funding of roughly $5,000. The ELC Foundation will fund over $10,000 to the Key Grant Program this fall! Grant applications are due November 1st and can be turned into the central office. Forms are available on the ELC website.

The ELC Foundation is proud to be part of a school system where educators and support staff work together to provide a quality education for all students in our district.

Our annual Champions in Education benefit is October 19th at the Estherville Golf Course. This event gives our entire community the chance to honor those that strive to give our young people a meaningful and enjoyable educational experience. We hope we have a packed house!

Again, our thanks to all those that support our efforts to give our ELC students an education of the highest quality.

With Kind Regards,

Molly Anderson

President-ELC School Foundation Board
