Good Samaritan administrator says thank you
My name is Isaac Gerdes, My wife and I moved to Estherville just 9 months ago from Sioux Falls SD when I accepted the role of Administrator at the Good Samaritan Society-Estherville. I was anxious to get started with my new challenge and to get acquainted with the community. I’ve had the opportunity to get to know our residents at Good Samaritan and most of their family members at the center and even a few people on the golf course as well as some at Rotary and chamber events. I’m impressed with the sense of community in Estherville. Last Friday night Good Samaritan held its annual Benefit Dinner and it was wonderful to see how many people came out to the Elks in support of the center. Nancy Yackle, the guest speaker shared her family’s history with us. She had us laughing and many in tears with her stories. She shared the role that Good Samaritan has played in her family. And asked the question; “What would we do with out a place to take care of our loved ones?” She reminded us all of what an impact the center has made for the people of this community.
I just want to thank all of you who help make that possible. The community’s involvement and generous gifts to the center have a direct impact on improving the residents’ lives. The proceeds from Friday night’s event will be used to help purchase a bladder scanner. Having a scanner at the center will greatly reduce trips to the emergency room for procedures that could be done at the center with far less trauma for our residents.
I want to thank these community minded sponsors for making the evening possible:

Thank you again to all of you, who share your blessings with your friends and neighbors at the Good Samaritan Society,
