Warriors keep improving

The North Union boys ran to a sixth-place finish at the 96th Running of the Estherville Relays on Thursday.
“Throughout this week, se saw performance get better,” said North Union coach Loren Looft. “We had some minor injuries, so we did hold a few kids out on Thursday. “Running against bigger schools you always get pushed and some of our younger athletes ran their best times of the year.”
The Warriors’ night was highlighted by a first-place finish from Riley Bauer in the 3200-meter run and second-place finishes by Derek Thompson in the 100-meter dash and Elliott Hagebock in the high jump. Complete North Union results are below.
The Warriors host a home meet in Armstrong on Monday.
