Brown, Kirschbaum provide 1-2 punch

SPIRIT LAKE — Kaisha Brown and Amber Kirschbaum combined for 35 points in Spirit Lake’s 39-33 win over LeMars on Friday.

Both players were 7-of-13 from the field for 53.8 percent with Brown going 4-of-6 from the free throw line and Kirschbaum was 3-of-7.

LeMars led 9-8 after one quarter, but the Indians took a 20-16 lead at the break and led 31-24 after three quarters.

Kirschbaum completed a double-double with 12 of the team’s 26 rebounds.

Neither team protected the ball well with the Bulldogs committing 29 turnovers and the Indians had 25.

Spirit Lake hosts Spencer this evening.
