Eagles soar too high for Knights
SWEA CITY — The Graettinger/Terril girls basketball team lost to North Sentral Kossuth 68-39.
The Knights trailed just 13-10 after one quarter, but the Eagles pulled away to a 35-17 halftime lead and led 52-30 after three quarters.
“We played a very good NSK team,” said G/T coach Roger Conway. “They have a good inside and outside game on offense and attack on defense.”
The Knights were led by Malorie Girres with 13 points while Theresa Petersen had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
“I feel we are getting better with our offense and when our shooting percentage improves, that will help us much,” he said.
G/T (2-3, 1-1) plays at Ruthven-Ayrshire today.
