Knights place fourth at Britt – Five G/T wrestlers post 5-0 records
BRITT — The Graettinger/Terril wrestling team did well at the Britt Invitational Tournament on Saturday.
Five wrestlers earned first-place with 5-0 records as the Knights placed fourth overall.
West Hancock placed first with 252 points followed by Central Springs with 209 points, Sumnmer-Fredericksburg with 174 points, Graettinger/Terril with 173 points, Okoboji with 154 points and AGWSR with 142 points.
At 103 pounds, James Tatman won first-place honors for the second consecutive tournament. He posted a 5-0 record with five pins.
Also posting a 5-0 day were Michael Jensen (135), Kass Schany (160) and Jake Hoffman (189).
Placing second were heavyweight Kyle Brown and 171-pounder Josh Anderson with 4-1 records.
Ryan Schany placed third at 112 pounds with a 3-2 record while Logan Tonderum, Taylor Harris and Heath Marchand were fifth with 1-4 records.
“Most of the kids wrestled well today,” said G/T coach Cody Alesch. “We need to improve on a few things as team, but the kids are really working hard.”
The Knights travel to George for a double dual with George-Little Rock and Spirit Lake Park today.
