Knights down Wolves – Petersen scores 19 to lead G/T

LAKE PARK — Graettinger/Terril’s Theresa Petersen was all over the court in the Knights 42-27 victory over Harris-Lake Park on Tuesday.

The junior guard scored 19 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, had a team-high seven steals and a blocked shot against the Wolves.

Her 19 points included two 3-pointers and 7-of-8 from the free throw line.

The Knights had 19 steals on the night and coach Roger Conway credited defense for the win.

“The defense was strong for four quarters and we got good looks on offense,” he said.

The Knights led 7-6 after one quarter, 21-17 at halftime and 28-21 after three quarters before pulling away in the fourth period.

Malorie Girres added 10 points and Liz Sparks tossed in nine.

The Knights (3-6) host Corwith-Wesley-Luverne today.
