No. 8 Indians hold Wolfpack scoreless in fourth quarter
HULL — The Class 3A No. 8 Spirit Lake girls basketball team held Western Christian to six points in the third quarter and scoreless in the fourth quarter for a 38-25 victory over the Wolfpack on Friday.
The Indians were led by Amber Kirschbaum with 15 points while Kaisha Brown had 13 points.

The Spirit Lake boys basketball team was unable to keep pace with defending Class 2A state champion Western Christian on Friday.
The Indians led most of the first quarter, but the Wolfpack came back to take a 16-15 lead.
Western Christian then took over, outscoring the Indians 75-40 the rest of the way for a 91-55 victory.
Spirit Lake was led by Andy Pringnitz with 16 points while Mason Berquist had nine points, Scott Maudlin and Dustin Lowe each had eight points, Joe Nellis had seven, Tyler Solsma five and Joel Hegeman had two.
The Indians were 22-of-62 from the field for 35 percent while the Wolfpack shot 52 percent, 35-of-67.
Spirit Lake returns to action at Storm Lake on Friday, Jan. 4.
