Knights rally for fourth win

GRAETTINGER — Graettinger/Terril rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit and Theresa Petersen scored 34 points as the Knights beat Ventura 65-60 on Friday.

“I’m real proud of the effort of all the girls as each one had a key play in the victory,” said G/T coach Roger Conway. “I’m please with our overall composure the last three minutes and the score was tied at 55.”

G/T trailed 13-10 after one quarter and 34-22 at halftime before rallying to take a 41-40 lead to start the final frame.

Petersen was 10-of-18 rom two-point range, 11-of-15 from the free throw line and 1-of-4 from 3-point range. She also led the team’s rebounding effort with 12 boards.

No other Knight reached double digits, but seven other players were in the scoring column.

Malorie Girres had eight points and Liz Sparks had a team-high six assists and four steals.

G/T (4-8) is at Clay Central-Everly on Tuesday.
