Indians raid Pioneers again

SPIRIT LAKE — The Spirit Lake boys basketball team used a big third quarter to pull away from county rival Okoboji and held on for a 56-41 victory on Saturday.

The Indians led the Pioneers 14-6 after one quarter and 28-19 at halftime. An 18-8 third quarter gave Spirit Lake a 46-27 lead heading into the final frame.

Mason Bergquist led three players in double digits with 15 points. Andy Pringnitz contributed a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds while Scott Maudlin tossed in 10 points along with four assists.

Spirit Lake (8-3, 4-3) is at Sheldon today.
