COUNCIL BLUFFS — The Iowa Lakes men’s basketball win streak was halted at five with Division I school Iowa Western defeating the Lakers 93-67 on Tuesday.

“They were just better than us. They were bigger, stronger, and more athletic at every position,” said Iowa Lakes coach Troy Larson.

However, he was still disappointed with his team’s play.

Iowa Lakes was led by Mitch Bain with 15 points while Jimmie Marshall and Cornelius Vines each had 13 and Mike Betts had 12.
