MARSHALLTOWN — A slow start gave the Iowa Lakes women’s basketball team no chance against a Marshalltown team ready to knock the visitors down a notch.

Iowa Lakes beat Marshalltown 78-68 in the teams’ first meeting on Dec. 5.

This time, the Tigers roared out of the games and took a 39-19 halftime lead on the way to a 72-55 victory.

“They we were ready for us and we we're doing anything,” said Iowa Lakes coach Brian Radtke. “We never really were in it an Marshalltown out-hustled us.”
