Knights unable to hold on – Eagles fly past G/T in second half
GRAETTINGER — After taking an eight-point halftime lead, Graettinger/Terril couldn’t stop visiting North Sentral Kossuth in the second half and lost by 10, 42-32, to the Eagles on Friday.
“We did a great job of coming up with loose balls and hitting open shots in the first half,” said G/T coach Brent Dyhrkopp. “We struggled in the second half.”
The Knights built their first half lead on five 3-pointers, three by Drew Skattebo and two by Tyler Leiting.
The led 14-5 after one quarter and 21-13 at the break.
But the Knights only hit one 3-pointer in the second half and the Eagles started the third quarter with a 10–0 run. It was halted by Leiting’s third 3-pointer, but NSK led 25-24 to start the final frame. The Eagles had all the momentum in the fourth quarter to pull away.
