By Staff | Feb 5, 2008

BODE — Playing for the second night in a row, the Graettinger/Terril girls basketball team gave a good effort in a 56-32 loss to Twin River Valley on Friday.

“I felt we did a nice job at both ends of the court,” said G/T coach Roger Conway. “We showed good patience and ball movement on offense and did a nice job fighting through moving screens. We never like losing, but our overall game showed good improvement.”

The Knights trailed 15-6 after one quarter, 28-14 at halftime and 41-26 after three quarters.

Malorie Girres led the Knights with 16 points while Theresa Petersen had eight points and eight rebounds. Leah Flaharty had a team-high three assists and three steals.

G/T (5-12) travels to Armstrong on Thursday to take on the Mustangs in the Class 1A district semifinal game.
